The Agni'Vohda are creations of Agni. They occupy a strange position somewhere between divine servants and a standard race and are generally not well-suited to being a PC.
Description[]
Agni'Vohda are, in essence, flame elementals forged of pure fire. They typically have two forms: their standard form, in which they are a roughly human-sized humanoid made of fire, with the caveat that their lower bodies have no legs and are just an extended burning flame. Their other form is a small spark which they can transform into at-will. Weapons may be drawn from their very essence, although are typically unnecessary.
Agni'Vohda can be killed in any way that a normal fire may be destroyed, namely by suffocation or by cold or water, although they tend to be more resilient to water than a standard flame.
History[]
Created at the Dawn of Time when Agni moved to defend Zebus from the attacking Angels of Leaf. After Agni stormed away from The Crown, the Agni'Vohda followed him, eventually irritating the God of Fire enough that he created a home for them within the Eternal Volcano. Since then, they have prospered and grown, living deep in the caldera, but always knowing that their God could summon them at any time.
Recently, the Agni'Vohda were summoned by Agni to help rescue him from the clutches of TASOE. Nearly half of their number perished, and in gratitude for their sacrifice, the God freed them from their servitude, allowing them to chart their own course from now on. It remains to be seen, however, if Agni stays true to his word.
Important Settlements[]
The Eternal Volcano is the only settlement of the Agni'Vohda, and, despite the fact that the Agni'Vohda build no buildings, has been divided up into open-air 'rooms' that correspond to various places seen in many cities: Temples, Markets, etc. What goes on in these places where the Sparks gather is... unclear, as the Agni'Vohda do not need anything but heat for nourishment.
Society[]
The Agni'Vohda operate as a very loose theocracy, with the priests holding some sway as conduits of Agni's will. With his recent releasing of the Agni'Vohda from servitude, it remains to be seen whether this arrangement will last.
Agni'Vohda are natural assassins, able to sneak into areas using their spark form to carry out devastating sneak attacks. Sometimes, the Agni'Vohda will provide their services to worthy supplicants who come to the Eternal Volcano and beg them for their assistance. If they find the penitent unworthy, however, it is a short trip into the hot magma below.
